Held in Hope: Navigating Maternal/Pregnancy-Related Health Challenges Together
Join us for a compassionate 60-minute gathering for women and birthing parents who have experienced medically complex pregnancies or losses due to maternal health challenges. Includes physical, emotional, and medical complications before, during, and after pregnancy.
Whether you've faced a T-shaped uterus, uterine anomalies, incompetent/dynamic cervix, preeclampsia, HELLP, preeclampsia, PPROM, IVF complications, hyperemesis gravidarum, blood clotting disorders, fallopian tube related challenges, recurrent loss, placental abruption, gestational diabetes, postpartum hemorrhage, PMADS, or other complications, this space offers understanding and connection. These are just some examples, as the list is vast. These complications are often complex, high-risk, and misunderstood by others.

The journey of love, loss and life after loss looks different for everyone. Return to Zero: HOPE will be hosting a workshop series designed to provide supportive spaces for the diversity of our lived realities that come with our individual pregnancy and infant loss experiences. Our hope is to provide helpful resources and tools that encourage holistic healing. These workshops will uniquely support parents and providers through a trauma informed, resilience-focused, somatic approach.
These workshops will be interactive. There will be time to share, time to write and reflect, and in some sessions opportunity more movement. Please have available a water bottle, paper and pencil, and a quiet space.

We are hosting a free, supportive workshop for individuals who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss and live in areas recently affected by wildfires in California.
What This Workshop Will Cover:
Validation of Experiences: Acknowledging the layered grief and trauma you might be facing.
Trauma Prevention: Guidance on minimizing the impact of additional stressors.
Self-Care Strategies: Tools to help you process your experiences and care for yourself during this challenging time.
This session will be led by Betsy Winter, RTZ Director of Community Support and a Trauma and Grief Specialist.

Make Your Own Keepsake Ornament
In this workshop you will be guided by experienced art therapist Susan Jacobsen to create a one-of-a-kind ornament to honor your loss. A detailed supply list will be provided. Supplies must be purchased in advanced by the participant. No prior art experience is necessary.
Writing Through Grief: Healing Through Storytelling
If this 120 minute workshop you will:
-Learn how to use writing to foster a beautiful connection to your baby(ies)
-Read and discuss selected essays on loss
-Work with generative writing prompts
-If comfortable, you can also share your own writing and stories
