Our Hearts Go Out to California

At Return to Zero: Hope, our hearts are deeply heavy as we process the devastating impact of the ongoing fires in California. We know that this is a unique and complex form of grief, one that touches not just the land but the hearts and homes of so many. We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt solidarity with all those affected by these fires, and we are here to hold space for the overwhelming loss, confusion, and trauma that accompany such a disaster.

Our founder, Kiley Hanish, was evacuated from her home in Altadena, which, thankfully, was spared from the fire. However, she, like so many others, faces the uncertainty of when she will be able to return and the potential damage caused by smoke. As a result, all of RTZ's physical brochures will not be able to be shipped at this time, and we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges.

We also understand that grief doesn't take a pause when disaster strikes. In times like these, the pain of previous loss often remains with us, and the compounded nature of grief can feel especially heavy. With this in mind, we want to extend our support by offering a discount code (RTZLOVE) for those impacted by the fires to join any of our support groups, where you can connect with others who understand the complexities of grief in such difficult circumstances. For those directly impacted by the fires in California, please register here using the code: RTZLOVE for a 100% discount on any upcoming support group.

We will be hosting a free workshop on Thursday, January 16th at 11:00am - 12:30pm PST for any Pregnancy and Infant Loss Survivors impacted by the fire-affected areas in California. Details and registration can be found here.

Please know that we are holding you all in our hearts, and we are committed to supporting you through this challenging time. We are here for you, and we will get through this together.

This is going to be a long journey to recovery, and community support is essential. For those not directly affected by the fires but wishing to offer support, we invite you to consider contributing to our scholarship fund which will help provide access to these essential support groups for individuals who may be struggling financially in the wake of this crisis. We also accept donations through Venmo @rtzhope or via our wishlist page. Your donation will help ensure that those who are facing the trauma and loss from these fires are not alone, and that they have the opportunity to connect with others in a space of healing and solidarity.

With deepest compassion,
The Return to Zero: Hope Team
