A Post-Election Message from our Founder

Dear RTZ Hope Community,

The past week and the time leading up to the election has been filled with anxiety and heaviness. I intentionally stayed away from news and social media so that I could remain (somewhat) centered. I’ve needed some time to process my own feelings before communicating with you.

Regardless of your political views, there is a lot of uncertainty about the future, especially when it comes to women’s reproductive health care. Most of us have been personally impacted by loss on our journey to parenthood, and as a dear RTZ sister said to me last week, “this election felt so personal.” We all feel afraid for so many women and birthing people in our country because they may not have access to the health care they deserve, which could very well lead to increases in maternal and infant mortality.

I am writing to let you know that RTZ Hope is here for everyone who has experienced any type of loss on their family building journey. It is my personal pledge that we will continue to do the important work of supporting families after loss as well as educate health professionals and community advocates to better care for families during this time.

I also encourage you to be kind to yourselves. Do what you need to in order to care for your hearts. Find small moments in your day that bring lightness and comfort. The RTZ Hope Community is a safe space to grieve and heal together, and we will be here to offer support.

In service,
Kiley
