Jennifer, Spreading HOPE for Twins, James E. Kaiton, Goliath, Cilantro, Russ

Ambassador Jennifer Kaiton, fundraising in memory of Twins, James E. Kaiton, Goliath, Cilantro, & Russ

“Building our family was a long and arduous decade of heartbreak, grief and transformation. My soul, body and mind was challenged in a way that forever changed me and having experienced almost every type of loss imaginable (and surviving) showed me what I am made of. It required deep resilience, learning how to love myself through rebuilding, figuring out how to reclaim part of myself, and somehow grow from it. I now honor my journey and revel in all I've been able to learn from it and how to use that wisdom to help others as they too face unimaginable heartbreak and grief. I was shattered to pieces over and over again, and there were days I didn't think my deep sadness or pain would ever end. But somewhere along the way, I started to feel more peace, more joy and be able to honor and respect the difficulty of grief as my teacher. I feel more connected now to the babies I have held, and honor them whenever I live my life with purpose and meaning. They have been the catalyst for the work I do.

RTZ HOPE is a space where one can feel not alone on this journey. I am forever grateful to RTZ for the opportunity to find community and help create community for others on this journey.”

Pregnancy and infant loss is an unique type of loss, leaving the grievers to feel isolated and unsure of how to move forward. We'd be grateful if you you would consider making a contribution to Jennifer’s fundraiser in honor of Twins, James E. Kaitin, Goliath, Cilantro, & Russ . Your gift ensures that other parents who endure loss on their journey to parenthood have the support, resources, and community they need in order to navigate life after loss.

With your support, here’s what we were able to accomplish during 2022 (2022 Annual Report):

  • Fifty percent of support group participants received financial support to ensure that all parents have access to services.

  • Enhanced outreach to and created support services for Black, Indigenous, and other Communities of Color as a response to the alarming rate of preterm births and stillbirths caused by racial disparities in perinatal and infant health.

  • Offered 50 different support group programs (virtual workshops, virtual support groups, and in-person retreats) to our community of bereaved families.

  • Supplied our unique perinatal bereavement guides to 400 hospitals and providers to assist in caring for grieving families.

  • Hosted 10 perinatal bereavement education webinars to parents and providers.

  • Created community and spread awareness about pregnancy and infant loss through social media.
