“I utilized the brochures to completely revamp our perinatal bereavement care processes. I got all the staff on board, involved the resident physicians, and we had a very successful program in place when I left [my position]. The patients were very receptive to the handouts, but the card that had the [RTZ HOPE] website on it that lists the available community support was one of the most requested information pieces.”
“The RTZ Hope brochures are incredibly helpful for both parents and staff, and I am grateful to have such a wide selection to choose from. ”
“We really like that they are contemporary and beautiful. They are concise and easy to understand at a time when remembering is difficult. We love the door cards and the provider cards. Having the ability to have them in pdf form is invaluable.”
“I have shared brochures with both patients and the other mental health care providers in my clinic. I find these materials to be very well-written and helpful resource material for my patients. Amazing material, amazing website, and amazing resource for loss parents and loved ones.”
“The one I use most is the Do’s & Don’ts brochure. If the bereaved patient has visitors in the room, I give the brochure directly to the visitor, and usually they are very grateful for guidance in what to say/do to be helpful. If the patient/parents don’t have visitors, I give them a few copies of the brochure and let them know it is something they can give to friends/family that are asking how they can help. ”
“In my former position [outpatient OB/GYN facility], I frequently referred to the brochures on miscarriages and abortions. The latter (“Ending a wanted pregnancy”) was particularly helpful for our patients, as there are such limited supportive guides for patients seeking abortions, particularly in the setting of genetic diagnoses or parental threat to life. We would keep the miscarriage brochure readily accessible in the waiting rooms, tucked amongst other informational handouts for providers and patients to self-access. Other valuable brochures were the handouts for fathers/other biological parents and siblings.”
“My facility has been using your brochures for our bereaved families on our L&D unit, in our PACU, and in the OBGYN office. We find them to be very well done and a good resource for our patients. ”
“I regularly use the materials from RTZ with my loss clients. They are well-received and much appreciated.”
“I use these brochures with all of my fetal loss patients. I direct them to the plethora of resources on your web page through it. ”
“I use them all the time for our bereavement support packs in both English and Spanish.”
