CREATE NEW RESOURCES
You can work with a nurse or social worker in order to help create better bereavement support programs for parents who experience pregnancy and infant loss.
You can also create a list of local resources to be included with brochures that families receive. This can recommend therapists, support groups, and/or support organizations. RTZ HOPE has a Support Directory you can use and share as well.
One mother wrote a letter to the president of her hospital describing her experience and aftercare. From there, the hospital made it a priority to educate their staff and put programs in place to help grieving parents both at the hospital and afterwards.
FUNDRAISE FOR HOSPITALS
Many small hospitals do not offer items like Cuddle Cots, handprint/footprint kits, or trained photographers.
You can start a fundraiser for any of these assets to ensure that future families experiencing infant and pregnancy loss can have more time and ability to create memories with their babies.
