For this retreat, Kiley is excited to be joined by Betsy Winter, 2018 Seattle Retreat Alumni, and Melinda Peterson, 2015 Seattle Retreat Alumni. They bring unique gifts to our group and are looking forward to sharing this special time with you.
Kiley Krekorian Hanish, OTD, OTR/L
Kiley is a bereaved mother and occupational therapist living in Los Angeles. Kiley and her husband Sean are creators of the film Return to Zero starring Minnie Driver and Paul Adelstein. It is based on their personal experience of their son Norbert, who was stillborn, and is the first movie to tackle the taboo subject of stillbirth.
Kiley has hosted 14 Return to Zero Women’s Retreats since 2014 and is inspired by the community and transformation that happens at these retreats. She is also passionate about raising awareness of perinatal loss and improving the support families receive in the hospital as well as in the community.
Through the journey of losing her daughter, Eliza, Betsy began the quest to embody the concept of “the Both” and “the And”- how during our darkest moments, we can simultaneously walk in the light and find moments of joy and gratitude. Betsy is a licensed Nia instructor and trained in perinatal death and bereavement support through Resolve Through Sharing. She offers healing movement and sacred rituals to help support bereaved mothers as they walk the road of grief and healing.
Melinda is a bereaved mother, maternal death survivor, registered nurse, and serves as Secretary on the Return to Zero: HOPE board of directors. She shares experience from a unique journey of baby loss with no living children. Her son Oak continues to guide her from pregnancy and near death -- to today. Melinda is passionate about integrative medicine and wellness. She is certified in Healing Touch Levels 1 and 2 and writes guided meditations to support healing and loving relationships with self.
